I was in Colombia for a month and I noticed a few funny things-

• I saw Simpsons restaurants, Duff Beer bars,  Futurama ice cream stores and Family Guy fast food places.
• You are never far from selling pirated movies.
• There are no traffic laws.
• All the liquors are expensive except for Rum and this shit drink called Aguardente.
• There are these people that walk around with 4 or 5 phones chained to them. They wear shirts that say phone, minutos, calls etc. You walk up to them and use their cell for like 10 cents a minute.
• I don´t think I saw anyone with facial hair.
• Our food at restaurants NEVER came out at the same time. We adapted by sharing.
• The buses don´t leave until they are full.
• There are people selling everything EVERYWHERE.

When we first decided to head to South America (I´m in Colombia at the moment) EVERYONE made the same jokes about cocaine and Pablo Escobar etc. etc.
Now to address everyone´s curiosity- Yes there is a lot of Cocaine here! Its fucking dirt cheap ( $5 a gram) and can be found on most street corners. The quality varies as locals have figured out that they can sell you baking soda and you couldn´t do much about it. All the Aussies here friggin love the stuff!

Weed is everywhere too, but unless you know someone, you´ll get the brick which sucks.

I fly a fair bit and there is one thing I can always expect…and that’s that as soon as the plane lands, amateur hour begins.  I want to stand up and scream out, “sit the fuck down!”
I mean seriously people, is this your first flight?  You know you’ll have to stand up (usually hunched over) for at least 5 minutes right?  Especially if you are in the back.
And whats this with all the Johnny Rockafellers turning on their phones like a fucking corporate merger is going to fall through unless they call in?!?
“I just landed… Yup…. it’s Sunny….Love you too….bye” 
Did the person you’re talking to think the plane wasn’t going to land?  Are they going to slit their wrists unless they hear your voice?

C’mon people, is this your first flight?

Relaxed around the cabin. Drank some beer and tried to fish.  Took a stroll into the wonderful town of Alexandria Bay.  Damn this road trip must be boring for you to read…

As I mentioned earlier, we are staying with my girlfriend’s friend kelli. What I didn’t mention was her roommate’s cat is fucking possessed. It will approach you to pet it, but once you do, it will hiss and swipe it’s claws at you. Anyhow, so we woke up on the air mattress in the living room..and were kind of laying there chatting, when the cat jumped on next to us. We both acted surprised, which must have scared the cat, because it started going ape shit…all hissing and growling and drooling..fuck this…so we jumped up -which non-verbally told the cat we were scared of it-so it chased us into kelli’s room.

We finally got on the road and started driving to upstate New York. The drive was boring.

We spent the entire day walking around Washington D.C. … it happened to be the same day of that holocaust museum shooting, but we didn’t notice a thing.  I’ll put up a few pictures when I get back on my own computer.
