best sushi in boynton beach florida

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

I’m on hunt for the best sushi in Boynton Beach Florida.

  1. The first place we looked for was Sakai Japanese Restaurant located at 338 N Congress Ave, Boynton Beach, FL 33426 We couldn’t find it so we drove across the street to Kimura on Congress. My GF ran inside to put our names in, but came out saying it looked like a longhorns (which was next store). Um no thanks.
  2. We tried out Sushi Yama Siam last night (2282 N. Congress Ave). Ugh don’t waste your time. Service was good, but that was about it. We ordered some masa sampler appetizer which was 2 spring rolls, 2 dumplings, edemame, 2 chicken satays and something else. All of it was like grocery store frozen finger food. We ordered two rolls; the boston and a bagel roll. The bagel roll was good, but the other wasn’t. Check out a photo of their horrible menu: sushi yama siam
  3. A few weeks ago we went to blue fish (although I thought it was called bluefin) sushi on Atlantic ave. in Del Ray. Really good. Kinda pricey. I don’t mind a few less neon lights and less busy area for slightly cheaper sushi. Overall though, it is our favorite sushi place in the boynton beach area.
  4. We also tried the Ginza japanese restaurant on the corner of Congress and Boynton Beach. Ugh no good.
  5. We tried Kingdom Buffet on Congress. We were there late, which is never a good idea at a buffet but it was still pretty good.

Facts, truth, scam? Blast off Network

Monday, December 14th, 2009

If you’re here because you are doing your research, then good for you.

First let me say a few things- I’m a real person. I live in Florida and like to lay at the pool drinking beer and watch cartoons on the weekends. Secondly, I don’t care what you do. There are dozens if not a hundred of websites that will tell you how great this blast off network is and that’s because they want to sell you on it so they can make money. I don’t use the service so I can’t sell you crap.  Even the sites talking you away from thinking its a scam, end up posting their personal link to the site so they can make money off you.  I found a blog about this here- http://blast-off-scam.com/anatomy-of-a-blastoff-scam-scam/

So here we go- the Facts about the Blastoff Network.
The Blast off network is site that let’s you customize your homepage so you can access everything from one place. Facebook, movies, news, games. Etc. Let me stop here. This is not the future nor special. There are plenty of sites and programs that let you do this if you genuinely want a place to organize your online life.

On this homepage you will see advertisements. This is where it gets interesting for two reasons:
1. Someone is making money off you. You see those ads on my webpage to the right of the screen? I’m trying (poorly) to make money off you too. I get paid about a nickel for every 60 people that visit my site. But what if you were a big company and I told you that people were to stay at one site all day and see your advertisements? You (as a big company) would pay a lot of money, right? And this is step one for the blastoffnetwork. People who legitimately use the site will use it a lot and you can be 100 percent guaranteed  that they will see your advertisements. So again, it’s a great way for a company to try and sell you junk, which brings me to…
2. Because many Americans are complete zombie shopaholics, by using their site (with the ads, the “preferential treatment” and the discounts offered) there is a good chance you will buy something. Again, someone is making money off you…but it’s not just the company getting your money from the purchase, someone else is getting money from the specific link you clicked on to get to that product. (this is very detailed and really messed up (i.e. a sleezy way to do business), but i’m not getting into it)

You still with me?
The final part to this is simple. Get other people to sign up. By getting other people to sign up you make money in two ways. The first is like a thank you payment. Blastoffnetwork.com is saying thanks for giving them someone to advertise to. The second way you make money is when that person buys something, you get a cut (pyramid scheme). The goal for many people will be to sign up as many people as they can so they can make piles of cash.

Listen people, I wouldn’t call it a scam, but it’s not an honorable way to do business. Its all about pyramids, advertising, spam and buying.

I have better things to do…but if you want to read more about this..try to cut through the bull sh*t here:

Best host for wordpress

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

So here you are ready to host your wordpress.org website. Like most people, you google it to find the best host.
But every website you find just gives you a stupid list of options..and there is a reason for that. All they are doing is referring you to these sites to get money. Most of the sites aren’t designed with wordpress and less aren’t even hosted  on the sites they recommend.

All you want to know is “Who is the best web host for my wordpress site?”
Now listen. The best host for wordpress is bluehost and I’ll tell you why.  A few months ago I decided to make the change from my wordpress.com blog to a wordpress.org site.  Just like you I wanted to make the right choice. I don’t know much about websites and I know even less about servers and stuff. I tried to compare the space and the ram and this and that…ugh.  But I took the time to compare a lot of the sites and I decided to go with bluehost.

When it came time to do all the tech stuff and actually set up the wordpress files and programs, I didn’t need to. Why?  Because bluehost did it for me in like 1 click.

I was all ready with “how to” guides and “step by step” instructions, but because bluehost and wp are amigos, all I had to do was click 1 button that said install wordpress.  That was it.

Bluehost is perfect for wordpress. Don’t even waste your time making sure all the requirements are there..bluehost has everything and then some.  The servers are always running and everything is easy to understand with detailed videos if you need help.

I really don’t care who you go with as a host and you won’t find me recommending any other web hosts, because I don’t know anything about other sites.  If you do decide to go with bluehost, it would be really nice of you to use this link.
CLICK HERE TO SIGNUP FOR BLUEHOST.COM
It won’t change anything other than let bluehost know that I recommended you.  I would love to offer you something to click my link like a naked picture of my girlfriend or $20, but I can’t. All I can say is please.

Thanks!

Great Review of Bonefish

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

I told myself that when someone is really nice, or goes out of their way, that I’ll try to highlight them on my crappy site.

We went out to Bonefish tonight (the one over on 9897 Lake Worth Rd.) and the server was excellent. I think his name was Kris, but if it isn’t then this post is a waste of my time and yours.

It’s funny becuase I called the place when I got home and got the manager on the phone to tell him how great his employee was…and the manager was a fucking asshole.

Great attendant on flight

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

During my marketing courses in school, we learned that a customer is 9 times more likely to complain or talk bad about their experience vs. give praise or do what marketers call “spreading positive word of mouth”.
There are times when I receive such nice service that I’ll go out of my way to do something nice for them.

Nearly 3 weeks ago, on my Spirit Airlines flight from Peru to Ft. Lauderdale, we had the best flight attendant ever. For no reason, he treated us like movie stars. I mean, we look like it and all, but seriously, he totally hooked it up.
Before the flight took off, he came to us and asked us if we wanted better seats. Then he bent down and whispered that we could have anything we wanted and this was like right before take off. “You two want a drink or something?”
Then at whatever thousand miles up in the air, when everyone is paying for snacks and food, he comes by asks what we want. I ask how much the m&ms are and he laughed, threw us two bags of peanut m&ms and a turkey sandwich.

I didn’t catch your name, but I wrote to spirit and tried to tell them how awesome you are.
Thanks again buddy!
