I’ve been pretty busy, but finally had the chance to get under my 2010 honda civic and check out the exhaust system.

If you stick your head under there, you’ll see what looks like two mufflers. That second muffler is actually a resonator meant to keep things quite. There is usually a cat (catalytic converter) where that second muffler is (check pic), but from what I can tell, the cat is closer to the motor.

The weird this is that there is what looks like another car in front of the engine. It has a air sensor on it and looks like one.

Its all pretty strange really. The headers are between the motor and the firewall…but the cat is on the front side. It impossible to see but I think the headers might run to the other side into the cat and then head back to the tailpipe…I don’t know..I wish I could get the car up high enough to actually have a look.

I don’t care about gas mileage. I don’t care about warranties. I also didn’t want to show you a bunch of lambos and concept cars you’ll never afford. Here are, what I feel is, the illest cars of 2010.

I mean damn. 2010 came out with some hot whips. If I had the money, I would get that Cadillac on 22s. The Maserati would of course be nice, and the Buick Lacross would be original, but that Caddy is unreal.

As regular readers know, I’m driving a brand new 2010 civic. Well last week I drove down to Ft. Lauderdale beach to get some sun. I get back from the beach and see my first dent! Oh man was I mad! I ended up leaving a note the the guys windshield.

I tried to let it go, but it was bothering me too much. I did a quick google search for dent repairs in boynton beach fl. The first place that popped up was Dent Warrior http://www.dentwarrior.com so I gave them a ring. They’re a mobile service which was really nice. I didn’t have to take time off from work and they came right to my office. The owner is the one who does the work and he did a great job. He did such a good job, that I’m taking time out of my day to write this post about friggin car dings.

Today was the last straw. I was leaving work and went to start my 2010 civic lx coupe and it stumbled. This was maybe the 5th or 6th time it has done this. When I turn the key it just doesn’t want to turn over. I wait a second and try again and it works. A few weeks ago (the last time it happened) I told myself that it was probably because I was putting the key in and turning it right away and…well I was just too quick for the car.

So I got home and googled it right away. It turns out there are a lot of people with this problem. 2009 and 10 Civic owners are complaining about the starter problem.

Many people have been saying that because its winter and cold, the civic has trouble starting, but I live in FL where its beautiful everyday and I still have problems.

I really want to get a carbon fiber hood for my 2010 civic coupe…but there aren’t too many available yet. Can I use a CF hood from a 2009 Honda Civic? Are they the same size? Will the 2009 hood fit on the 2010?

I’ve been looking at a few. I would like something just a tad over basic as i’m not too crazy about “wild”

When I went into the Honda dealership, I really wanted the 2010 Accord. I could afford it, but it was just a few bucks out of my comfort level. (Unlike most Americans, I only buy what I’m sure I can afford.)

I ended up buying the 2010 civic. I like it, but it just wasn’t as tight as the Accord. I’m trying to convince myself that with a little work, my civic would be sick. I’ve been having a hard time finding nice pics, but I did find a few.
